Speaking Case Study: Haylie McCleney

USA Team Captain Spends Day With Students

Have you ever wanted to bring in a powerful keynote speaker to motivate your company or team? Here's a special look at how it works.

BACKGROUND

The Bryn Mawr private school hosts an annual event for 200+ students, highlighting themes of teamwork, confidence and handling adversity to their students. Each year they look to bring in a keynote speaker who can connect with the students, parents and staff.

OBJECTIVE & RESULT

Bryn Mawr teamed up with CG Sports to bring in the perfect speaker, USA Olympic Team Captain and softball legend, Haylie McCleney.

Haylie delivered a keynote speech to the whole school as well as smaller personal breakout sessions for parents and students. She brought her Tokyo Olympic medals for the kids to share and took photos with many happy students.

KEYNOTE TOPICS

  • Don’t be afraid of “no”

  • Joy in seeing others succeed

  • Outwork you competition

HAYLIE’S HIGHLIGHTS

  • Tokyo 2020 Olympian

  • USA Team Captain

  • NCAA Champion, Alabama

  • Head of Partnerships, Athletes Unlimited

  • ESPN Top 3 greatest softball players of all time

I highly recommend Haylie McCleney for youth speaking engagements. Haylie spoke to our 6th-12th grade students and conveyed profound messages with clarity and relevance.

Haylie is an exceptional role model who also possesses the ability of skilled presenters as she shares personal anecdotes and insights that created a connection with our students that transcended the usual speaker-audience dynamic.

The content of the presentation was not only thought-provoking but also delivered in a manner that resonated deeply with the students, athletes and non-athletes alike.
— Tina Veprek, Director of Athletics, Bryn Mawr

This is one of the best experiences I have had at a speaking engagement. The hospitality, audience and hosts were incredible.

I enjoyed the opportunity to tailor my messaging for Bryn Mawr and the response was motivating.

I came away with a lot from working with Bryn Mawr!
