Wallace leads Team USA to World Champs Gold
What an incredible week it's been for our CG Sports athletes!
A massive congratulations to Jack Wallace and the entire USA Para Sled Hockey team! They dominated the 2025 Para Ice Hockey World Championships in Buffalo, NY, winning the gold medal in a thrilling 6-1 showdown against rival Canada. Jack delivered an unforgettable performance, securing a hat trick in the gold medal game and capping off the tournament as defensive player of the series. I loved the coverage by Peacock and was glued to the tv this past Saturday cheering the team on.
This past weekend we also had an announcement from Olympic legend Lilly King. After an illustrious 18-year career that spanned three Olympic Games and saw her shatter countless records, Lilly has announced that this summer will be her final swimming season. Lilly is truly one of a kind and one of the best personalities in Olympic sports. We are excited to continue working with Lilly on new professional goals which include expanding her corporate speaking opportunities later this year.
Finally, mark your calendars! The highly anticipated LEAD Sports Summit is making its return to Minneapolis, MN, over Labor Day Weekend, from August 29 - September 1. I’m really looking forward to attending my 8th year of LEAD later this summer.
Have a great rest of the week and good luck to our athletes competing at the Toyota US Swimming Nationals this week!

How a Swimming Prodigy Rediscovered Her Love for the Sport: Becca Mann
Becca Mann, once a young swimming prodigy who conquered the 15K Maui channel at ten, bravely stepped away from the sport after narrowly missing Olympic qualification three times. During a five-year hiatus, she explored life beyond the lane lines, earning a screenwriting BFA and discovering new facets of her identity. An unexpected return through Masters swimming reignited her passion, leading her to candidly share her journey with OCD and creative pursuits in her memoir, "Outside the Lanes." Now training with sights set on the national team and potentially the 2028 Olympics, Becca has profoundly found "peace" back in the water.
