My recap of the 2026 Winter Games media summit
Hello from the 2026 Winter Olympic & Paralympic Games Media Summit! This week I had the opportunity to accompany CG Sports client, Jack Wallace (Team USA Sled Hockey), for a full day of movie magic on the Universal Studios lot. We spent about 10 hours being ushered to six different movie and photography stages, along with other amazing athletes from Team USA. One stage had a full replica of Cortina built on real ice!
The NBC Media Summit is a massive undertaking as it serves as the one stop shop for all promotional content that we will see on TV, social media, print and radio in the months leading up to the 2026 Winter Games. Only 46 Team USA athletes total are invited to participate (across Olympic and Paralympic), so it’s always an honor to be included.
Jack had multiple wardrobe changes doing from full gear for the “hero” shot; then sitting down with Access Hollywood for interviews (fitting by our friends at Ralph Lauren).
Overall the energy around Milan-Cortina 2026 was incredibly positive. Everyone is riding high after the success of Paris and you could feel the excitement on the lot yesterday. This was probably the best NBC Media Summit I have been to since 2016, so LA2028 has their work cut out!
Jack flew straight from Hollywood to Buffalo, NY the next morning to get ready for the 2025 World Championships. You can watch this weekend on Peacock and please do!
Have a great rest of your week,
– Cejih
